Bob was my Dad. He lived on the North Shore for close to 60 years
and treated the mountains as his backyard. He and my mother
explored the North Shore from Horseshoe Bay to Deep Cove and
beyond.
He was always curious - if there was something that interested him
he would take the time to find out more about it. In later years
while walking in the mountains he would stop to "admire the view"
to catch his breath.
Dad taught us that in life if you keep your nose to the the trail
and focus only on the end goal you will likely miss a lot of
interesting things along the way.
Don't expect a great view at this spot as there isn't one, but the
surroundings are somewhat interesting. It is a good spot to catch
your breath if you are walking up from Anne MacDonald Way, the Old
Buck parking lot, or from Parkgate Park.
This is the bookend to the nearby cache - Gussie's Rambles
