The access road for South West Arm was built by Max Brace, a long time resident of Labrador City. During the winter months, Mr. Brace travelled to his cabin by truck, which was about 5 km away. He drove to his cabin across the ice, with a plow on the front of his truck. Today the club has approximately 50 members, and every thing is done by volunteers. There is a committee that makes decisions on behalf of all the members. Since 2010, it is even easier to get to South West arm because the highway is now paved. There is always a lot of activity at South West arm because the cabin owners are going to their cabins by boat in summer or by skidoo in winter. This cache contains only a log, so make sure you bring your pen. You will have to search for the FTF pin.
