Geocache Description:

Albany Wind Farm...wow what a site to see

Location: Albany Wind Farm. Park your car in the lower car park. Walk along the boardwalk towards Albany. Use the photos to get a better idea of the location. The cache is under the boardwalk. We marked the RH side rail board with a "Teck Screw" look under and you will find it. There is no need to get off the boardwalk and we encourage you to keep to them and preserve the environment. Go see the turbines while you are visiting they are truly awesome. The gap between the boards vary so place the cache back where you found it as the boards were closer together at that point. Keep in mind to try to be discrete to keep the location secret from other tourists. Welcome to the second of the Bibbulmun Track Caches. We know a lot of people are now walking the track ( Kalamunda to Albany)and no doubt many use GPS for their reference. The thought of being able to take all that you would like with you when you walk the trail is daunting so we have decided to help out and place luxury supply caches in a few places along the track. If you are finding the Caches by using your car then can you add something to the cache please? Make sure the food you add is vermin proof, like cans (ring pull are best), double pack any packets and tape them to seal them. Toilet paper, matches ( Sealed in plastic), batteries, or any other luxury item that is a bit heavy. We also haven’t placed a can opener in the cache so if you have one that would be nice. If you are walking the track then take something out for your enjoyment but don’t empty it as the next people may be disappointed to miss out. If you take a can then keep the empty can with you until you finish your trip. The rubbish is your responsibility; don’t just dump it in a campfire.
