North Pool Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

warnee1: Checked today and the overgrowth is horrendous as it has not been cut since I started the cache. Tried to find the cache but couldn't do so. Unfortunately I've decided to archive this cache.

Geocache Description:

This area was cleared in 2010 but has started to grow back, hopefully it will be cut back again to allow easier access. This can be muddy in the winter and also look out for cows that roam free as they are fed near this area.

Parking is at several designated places around the Goss Moor.

This cache is hidden in a lovely spot overlooking North Pool. I picked this place as I wanted to show what a wonderful place the Goss Moor is off the main trail. This pool is probably the result of extensive mining operations that were carried out in this area. Alluvial tin deposits were mined locally since the Bronze Age, but the site has been most affected by gravel extraction that ceased in 1960. The sand and gravel extracted were used in the making of blocks at the old buildings where A'gas dynergh Goss Moor cache is hidden.

This area has now become overgrown due to not having been cut for several years so it would be useful if you carried some secateurs with you.
Could you please return the cache as you found it too keep it well hidden from livestock? Thanks.
