McHenry County Conservation District: I think perhaps this has gone missing! Last time I checked it the log in which it was hidden had been doing some serious decomposing. I think perhaps it became uninhabitable for a cache!

Geocache Description:

Winding Creek Conservation Area
Parking at N42 26.950 W088 27.750
When you first pull into the site, the intial parking lot in the early morning lot - if you park there, it will be a much more significant hike. Continue along the gravel road for additional, closer parking!
You are looking for a clear plastic container.
If the path you choose does not take you by the pond, I reccomend continuing your hike as the view is beautiful! Even round trip, it is only a 1/2 mile walk.

This cache is located in the most recently opened McHenry County Conservation District site, opened July of 2011. This site has over a mile of hiking / cross country skiing trails and a 1 acre fishing pond. The fishing is suppose to be excellent so bring a fishing pole with you!

This cache was placed by the McHenry County Conservation District as part of the Cache Your Way Across McHenry County program. You do not need to be part of the program to seek this cache! If you are not part of the program, normal geocaching etiquette applies – please leave the informational card in place for those who are in the program!
