Geocache Description:

*The cache is not at the posted coordinates*

*This Chirp cache is being published as a companion to the 2011 West Bend $1,000 Cash Ba$h*

This cache may be found with a compatible GPSr unit with up to date firmware (see list below). To begin your search enable the Chirp search mode via SETTINGS>GEOCACHING>ENABLE CHIRP SEARCHING. Once the Chirp signal is detected select "show Chirp details" then "Go" once you are ready to continue. If you have a problem, turn off the Chirp function and start over. If more than one GPSr is attempting to download the information from the Chirp at the same time the signal may be delayed or corrupted. Be aware that leaving the Chirp feature enabled may shorten battery life so it may be best to switch it off after you make your find.

Common lore tells us that if we find just the right lamp and give it a rub, three wishes we shall be granted. This while sounding like a wonderful idea, has at times created problems for the lamp finder. Some Genies as it turns out are mischievous and will bend the words of a wish towards purposes unintended.

Lucky are we that there is no lamp here; no wishes to be granted. Here lives a Geogenie. Geogenies as it turns out only grant smiles...well that is if you are able to find their homes. You see, Geogenies live free and untethered until one of their mysterious homes is found. Finding one of these mysterious homes forces a Geogenie to return where it is imprisoned...but only for so long as it is visible to human eyes. A Geogenie once captured will grant you one, and only one, smile.

Proceed to the posted coordinates as GeoGenies are rumored to sometimes visit the area near the water. Once you arrive at the posted coordinates, begin your search but remember you will need a special GPSr which can “hear” the Geogenie’s chirp. You did know that all Genies uttered chirps right? The chirp of the Geogenie once detected by your GPSr, will lead you to the home of one of these mysterious creatures.  Find it and claim your smile!
