Beneath am I, in quiet ground
While nature wages war above
Entombed, away from human sight
As snug as human hand in glove

Alone am I, in solitude
While footsteps echo, loud and clear
Of many who will pass me by
And never know that I am here

In silence then, I wait for them
Who seek the void in which I lay
And I shall breathe the air again
And see the blessed light of day

My wait alone, was not prolonged
On 13th August I was First Found
