This is a quick easy to find cache, on Offa's Dyke Path where it crosses the Kerry Ridgeway. If driving, it's easy to get to. The walk in along ODP is more challenging!
This cache has been placed on behalf of Offa's Dyke Path National Trail. It is one of four caches placed between Knighton and Chirk.
The Kerry Ridgeway is an ancient drovers'road crossing the border between England and Wales. It crosses Offa's Dyke at Crow's Nest. Was part of the Dyke's purpose to manage trade between Mercia and the Kingdom's of the Welsh Princes? That's one of many theroies about this enigmatic earthwork.
The cache is a large plastic clip top box containing an information panel about Offa's Dyke and the Ridgeway. There are also some neat swaps for first to finders.
As it is quite close to the National Trail, look out for muggles and please take extra care to conceal the box.
There is parking for 2 cars close to the cache at N52 29 56.6 W003 05 39.8 Please park sensibly as the lane is quite narrow.
