While actual zombies not present to slay, there can be plenty of field spiders blocking your path! Generally flat terrain, bison or antelope may be present. Actual cache will require getting off the trail a short distance to locate. Fun,easy family friendly hike ~30 min. each way. Requires entrance fee ($9) into Antelope Island State Park. Begin at the Bridger Bay campground, trailhead at westend near dumpster. See link for current fees/park hours.
My son's 2nd geocache site. Cache contents updated 10/12/12. Family friendly walk and cache contents in ammo box. Great views of The Great Salt Lake along the way. Walk will average 30min. each way. Take water, as temps. can soar.
Wild bison and antelope can be present, use caution when approaching blindspots. Always present are lizards and various fowl. Walking sticks suggested for clearing spiderwebs along trail.
Antelope Island is in the Great Salt Lake, west of Layton, about 41 miles north of Salt Lake City.
Directions: Take Exit 332 off Interstate 15, then drive west on Antelope Drive for 7 miles to the park entrance, then another 7 miles across a narrow causeway to the island. Follow signs to the Bridger Bay Campground.
