Capt. Bob: I recently received this email
“Who gave you permission to place your geocache hide? It may be a government (town, state, or federal), business, or person. I'll need a name and contact info (phone or email) of the property owner to publish a geocache. Saying it's "public property" will not get your geocache published. This can be the trickiest question to answer - if it seems like public property you can call the town hall to ask, or try to find an assessor's map online (which lists owners) by doing a Google search for GIS town name map, and then contacting them. For municipal property, often someone in the recreation department can give permission.

Geocache Description:

As you can see Mr. Q and Mr. Gonz1, more than two can play this game [insert diabolical laughter]. I've learned from the masters of extreme and go you one better. A little smaller cache and a more obscure location [insert more diabolical laughter].

Once you find, or maybe I should say, if you find the cache, you'll have a nice southeasterly view by standing about 25 feet south of the cache. To the east you'll be able to see Mine Mountain: In the Mine.

What's the best way to get to this cache? Well, I don't know. It's all bushwhack, but in this case, like all other caches in this type of terrain, a good topo map with contour lines is your best friend. A straight line may be the shortest distance in 2D, but not necessarily the best way in 3D.

You are looking for a cammoed match holder with a log and filled with bragging rights.

Take it slow, bring plenty of water, know your limits, and be careful.
