11-11-11

A Night Event!
6:00 pm

November 11, 2011 is a unique date marking 11-11-11 as well as being Remembrance Day (also known as Poppy Day, Armistice Day or Veterans Day). We are celebrating this multi event on the day with a poppy and clock geocoin.




In 2005 the FlyingV's of South Jersey Geocaching did the first event to commemorate 05-05-05. That year the states of Georgia, California and Idaho along with New Jersey marked that notable day for the first time. That event took hold and was repeated in 6-06-06 (7 states), in 07-07-07 (4 states), 08-08-08 (15 worldwide locations), 09-09-09 (numerous worldwide locations), and 10-10-10 (numerous worldwide locations) last year.
Last year we had our second numbers event and had such an amazing turnout that I thought we should have another. So here it is. It is known as a world multi-event!


This Friday evening event will be from 6pm until closing as we celebrate this once in a lifetime combination of month day and year.

Special "11-11-11" Event coins! We will have our own Long Island version of the geocoin available at the event!!! Artwork of the coin to be posted when available.
