Geocache Description:

The third music inspired cache.

Formed in 1990 by Jeff Martin, Stuart Chatwood and Jeff Burrows, The Tea Party was named after the infamous hash sessions of famous Beat generation poets Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs.

Their self-titled debut album was distributed on their own label Eternal Discs anddrew influences from psychedelic rock and blues.

In 1993 They signed to EMI Canada and released their first major label recording, Splendor Solis. The band employed open tunings and goblet drums (Dumbek) to imitate Indian sounds, this was continued to be used throughout their career. The River was their first Single from this albumn with Save Me, A Certain Slant of Light, In This time and Midsummer Day.
