The Akihasan Hongu Akiha Jinja is a Shinto shrine in Tenryu-ku, Hamamatsu (the former town of Haruno in Shizuoka Prefecture). The shrine is located near the summit of Mount Akiha, on the southern slopes of the Akaishi Mountains. It is the head shrine of the 800 Akiha shrines around the country. There are Yahashira Shrine, Tanao Shrine and Akiba Shrine(Yayoi-machi) in the southern part of Hekinan City. The Akiba Shrine was constructed with the donation of the resident in March, 2011. The shrines are managed in the neighborhood association.
