Geocache Description:


THE CACHE HAS BEEN REPLACED. LONG LIVE THE CACHE _ I HOPE.

07/16/19 The original final cache location has become very overgrown since it was first placed. There is also a homeless camp nearby. For this reason I have moved the final to a spot somewhat nearby but more open and not likely to have a tent set up next to it.

The final cache is a clear plastic oblong container with a purple lid. You will need sharp eyes and the proper position. This one is not in plain sight.

The cache contains a log book only.

  • Depending on the path you take you may see a couple of No Trespassing signs. These are left over from the days when the Auburn Dam was an active project. The dam is in deep limbo and the area is open to pedestrian and equestrian traffic.

  • In the vicinity of the starting coordinates is a Dept. of the Interior benchmark. This was the start of the multi-stage cache. Now it is just a point of interest. The new location of the cache is: N 38.88699 degrees, W 121.0705 degrees.
