Ogopogo's Treasure Traditional Cache

This is an underwater cache. Bring your mask and snorkel, it's a short swim out into the lake. It is only available from late June to mid September because the water is too cold the rest of the time.
Park anywhere you can find along Beach Ave, somewhere near Todds Campground in Peachland. Walk along the beach with your GPS until you get close. The cache is located about 20-25 metres out into the lake and about 2 metres deep. It's easy to see while you're swimming with your mask and snorkel. The cache is a plastic snapware container inside another snapware container about 8 x 12 inches. The logbook is inside a third container and a bag. Please put everything back the same way and make sure that all the container lids are well sealed. The cache is attached with a rope and carabiner to a concrete anchor. Just unclip the carabiner from the anchor and bring the whole cache up. Please take it to the beach to open it there and hopefully keep it dry. You can empty the rocks out but you'll need to put some back in again (there is an endless supply on the beach) to make it easier to get the cache back down underwater. THIS IS A HIGH MUGGLE AREA...BE SNEAKY!
We've gone with a water theme for this cache. Please try to stay with the theme if you can, and only put in things that won't be damaged by a little water if some seeps in.
The hard part is finding the underwater anchor to replace the cache when you're done. Look for a red fishing float attached to the anchor to get you back to the right place.
