This is a public building and there is off road parking. The cache is only about 20 feet from parking area. Some Stealthe is required.
This building was constructed in 1984 on land that was leased for 99 years from the Fransican Monastery to the Valley Emergency Ambulance Association. This ambulance association was started to serve the residents of Conyham and Sugarloaf during a time when the only ambulance service available to the Valley was West Hazleton Ambulance. A few concerned citizens, my parents included, worked diligently to establish this service with original meetings being held in their houses. The Ambulance is still in existence but was purchased by Sugarloaf Fire Comapny and now serves sugarloaf and surrounding areas. This building now houses the Sugarloaf Fire Company Gym, accessible to all active members as a benefit for volunteers, and our local Emergency Management Agency which is staffed by trained volunteers during times of crisis.
