Flatland Reviewer: Today I received some very concerning information from an employee of the City of Salina. This cache was placed by removing a bolt that is part of the levee system for the city and it was discovered while they were checking the structural stability of the equipment in the area.
He explained that a bolt holding this item in place was removed and replaced with a fake bolt with a log attached to the end. The bolt will have to be replaced and they have concerns about allowing geocaching in this park as a tree in this same park has a hole bored into it to place a cache.
If you have other caches of this nature on public property I would encourage you to repair any damage or replace any hardware that was removed.
