murch1: It appears that TC Debbie, which hit Airlie Beach on 28/3/2017, has taken this cache. I no longer live in the area, so am unable to reset it. I still highly recommend walking over to the island for a look. It gives a unique view of the area.

Geocache Description:

The cache can only be accessed by land at low tide, so the race is on to find it before the tide comes back in!

This is the first geocache I have hidden. Walking to cache can be a bit dirty, so be prepared with footwear that you won't mind getting wet and dirty. It's a fairly easy walk. Allow at least 20 minutes each for the trips to and from the cache (40mins all up), plus time to look for the cache. The cache is a 1 litre clear container with a log book, pens and a tide chart for the area. Good luck!
