Geocache Description:

Langevatnet Rasteplass

The small cache is situated at RV 614 between Ålfoten and Svelgen in Myklebustdalen. The river and the lakes are full of trouts, so it is worth to try fishing here (fishing permit needed).
The landscape is characterised by stepped rock formation dating back to Devon, the age of fishes (416-350 million years ago). During this time the area has been the bottom of the sea, therefor fossils of fish have been found in the mountains nowadays.
The Ålfotbreen with an area of 17 km² on the top of these mountains is the most western glacier in Norway!

Vestlandfanden will maintain the cache, if necessary.

Enjoy a picknick in this untouched area!
