Located in Lincoln Woods/Jericho Hill Area of Waltham.
It amazes me when I see what Mother Nature does and the force she
can exert oh-so incrementally….You will see an example of
her power at the location of this cache.
If you have done my Jericho Hill caches you are familiar with the
area, terrain and the recommended parking spot.
The easiest access is at the end of Larchmont Ave. in the Lakeview
section of Waltham. (See cords below) The trail entrance is close
to houses so be respectful of driveways etc. ACCESS DAWN TO DUSK ONLY! Although you may
“see” other access points, be mindful of private
property. DO NOT PARK IN THE ESPOUSAL
CENTER. on Lexington St. There are some liability issues
with the management.
There is no need to bushwhack…the trails are well traveled
and although you may think it’s a long way around, the trek
is enjoyable…..resist the urge to “cut the bias”
or bushwhack.
I have tried to place this cache clear of any nasty elements, but
bug spray is always recommended …except in January. Snow may
pose a problem finding this one. You are looking for a 5”
round cammo’d lock ‘n lock, just off the trail. Room
for small items and trackables. Bring a pen. PLEASE RE-HIDE
WELL!
Although the area has been cleaned up you may find an opportunity
for some CITO…bring a bag. Oh yes…
Unregistered trackables for FTF and STF.
Cache Happy! Congrats to
GW0143, looks like he’s back in FTF form.
