va griz: I checked on it today and alas, it is not only gone but the thief left an insulting note. My experience is that anybody who is a small enough person that they derive enjoyment stealing small pleasures from others will merely keep stealing replacements. So, sadly, I will archive this one.

Aunt Postie decided to make a special dessert. She turned to Debi and said, “I need to bake a cake for Mr. Digges’ visit from Yorktown and I’ll use your grandmother’s recipe! Go to the Tree and bring back the best.”

Debi knew which tree Aunt Postie was talking about. She grabbed her basket and walked into the Orchard. The Tree was a good distance away; far past the Great Oak Tree. No one ever goes into this part of the Orchard and few knew about the Special Tree.

When she arrived, she was pleased to see that the Tree was ripe for picking. Nobody knew how this Tree came to be or how old it was; it was just always there. Debi reached up and plucked off the Carrots one by one. She hurried home knowing what a delicious cake these Carrots would make!!!

This cache is placed with the owner's permission and is available during daylight hours only. Night time finds will be deleted.
