A Dog's Life Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

wagmorebarkless: It looks as though this one will not be available for a long time. So. We'll archive it, and in a few months, another cache may rise from the ashes of this Dog's Life.

Sorry for the mixed metaphor. We hope you enjoyed the find.

Give a dog a hug today!

Geocache Description:

This cache is an orange nalgene bottle containing a log and pen. There's room for more things. Its size is somewhere between small and regular, so we're leaving it on "small" for now.

Please replace as found!

Congratulations to sureshot95 on the FTF!

This cache is placed in honor of our late Maggie, a dog who looked a little like Scooby-Doo. She was not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but she was good-hearted, and she could drink from a water bottle, always a handy thing on hikes.

The cache is located a little ways off the path known as Schenk’s Greenway. The terrain changes near the cache, hence the 2.0 rating.

Park near the recycling center, outside the gates, and take a walk along the path. While you’re there, note the garden areas full of drought-resistant plants that thrive in our area, placed by the City of Charlottesville in an effort to encourage drought-resistant landscaping.

Also note the interesting objets d'art along the path.

You may need to be stealthy if horticultural work is going on and/or people are walking dogs.
