Geocache Description:

An architectural masterpiece

Welcome to the ruins of the European Health Spa. Commissioned by the mid-twentieth century health and fitness guru Jack Lalanne it was a wonder of futuristic post-war architecture. If you ever travel on Central Avenue in Westchester, you will see this location. Though built merely forty years ago, the building has been abandoned for more than two decades. There is much information about the structure on line as it is well-known in architectural circles, and I refer you to a related web page where you can get more information and see pictures of the interior, should you wish to pursue it. Otherwise, come for the smiley and check out the great site. *Please note that the cache is not within the fenced perimeter. The operators of the store next door have some interest in this place and will harass tresspassers.
