McHenry County Conservation District: Sigh. It's a shame but look for it to be reborn as part of a puzzle/multi for out geotour! Sometimes u have to clean out some for new and improved ones!

Parking at N42 14.052 W088 13.548
You are looking for a clear plastic container
DO NOT use the early morning parking lot. It is closed due to construction and it is illegal to use the lot or the trail.
The question is related to the cache otherwise I would change the name!! While placing this cache yesterday there was a pair of cranes hanging around. Could not get too close to the pair (probably because Morgan, the geocaching dog, doesnt understand quiet!!!) but they were making a lot of noise!!!
Opened in 2000, this site has the most diverse activities available to the public. 2.25 miles of hiking trails (1 mi of which is paved), fishing, 2 shelters and has opportunities for horseshoes, basketball, volleyball, softball and Frisbee golf on a first come first serve basis (bring your own equipment).
The Fel Pro site was once a farm containing an orchard. You can still see the remnants in the many apple and pear trees throughout. The 3 main ponds were built to raise coy. Since then, much of the site has begun to be restored back to a more natural state. Now you can see a variety of birds and wildlife in the area.
This cache was placed by the McHenry County Conservation District as part of the Cache Your Way Across McHenry County program. You do not need to be part of the program to seek this cache! If you are not part of the program, normal geocaching etiquette applies – please leave the informational card in place for those who are in the program!
