Geocache Description:

This cache was hidden near the rock where we wrote our wedding vows on May 13, 2007, located in Whiteshell Provincial Park.

Following an event in my life that lead ultimately to the end of my relationship with my parents, brother, and some relatives, my then fiancee and I decided to get away from it all, and leave town for a few days. While we were out, we decided to elope, 3 1/2 months before our scheduled wedding (which became a wedding celebration/renewal of vows). To get ready for eloping, we needed to write up some wedding vows. We drove around looking for a nice spot away from people, with a nice view of a lake. This is the spot we found. We parked at the entrance to this rock and sat while we wrote our vows.

In 2009, we took another outing to Whiteshell. We decided to try and find the spot where we wrote our vows. After some driving we managed to find it again. This time the location went into my Nuvi.

July 30, 2011 was our third visit. This time I came with an ammo can full of trade-able wedding-themed items (including some bells) and a "Guest Book" for a log book. First person to find this gets an FTF certificate, and an unactivated "LOVE" geocoin. If trading, please try to leave something to do with weddings or love. You won't find a Get Out Of Hell Free card from me in there!

Logging Etiquette: Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of planning to place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or emoticon logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this in mind when entering your log.

I didn't encounter any of what I put for the hazard attributes, but I put them there anyway as a precaution

Congratulations to Muz and Girlie for the FTF prize! Mrs. D and I were touched by your log. We're so glad the FTF went to someone to whom this cache has great meaning. Enjoy the coin, and may it never go missing!
