Geocache Description:

A few weeks back I went on a caching/biking run through Big River with some friends. It started off great then took an unexpected turn when I fell. And really it was more like I body-slammed the ground because I never let go of the bike, it happened that fast. But I just laughed, got back up and kept on riding and caching. Because that's what I do. Plus, there was hiking to be done afterward. I wasn't feeling the greatest but I figured that was to be expected after such an event. The next day I flew out, as planned, on a business trip for a few days. Things didn't get better. Upon my return I visited my doctor where I promptly learned I cracked a rib and had bronchitis. During our discussions he invented quite a tale about my accident that involved my being involved in extreme sports, riding down a 150ft vertical cliff face, jumping some obstacles...and well, you get the idea. The man certainly does have an imagination and a penchant for making an injured woman in severe pain laugh. So I didn't feel too bad opening the negotiations for pain killers as high as I did.

This cache is in honor of the aforementioned boneheaded move on my part and for anyone else who has fallen and perhaps had trouble getting back up. Fortunately nobody else lives here so we have the place to ourselves, but please be respectful all the same.

In any case I'm on the mend, though I'm not hiking or biking quite yet. I ought to be bike-ready by Fall. Ironic, don't you think?
