Geocache Description:

The co-ords above are for the middle of a nearby field. You do not have to visit this location. There is a cache, just bigger than a 35mm film canister, hidden within 500m.

This is the next cache in a series of puzzle caches that I am hiding, which will all include a Japanese puzzle. I myself am a huge fan of these puzzles, and find them a lot more interesting than the typical wordsearch, or crossword.

What makes these puzzles so good is that they can be solved by logic alone. No knowledge is required (apart from how to solve the puzzles), and very few mathematical skills are needed.

The best part about the puzzles though is that, once completed, it forms a pixel image. As you work through the puzzle the image should slowly take shape.

---

Fill-a-Pix is a puzzle very similar to the popular game of Minesweeper. Using logic alone, you have to determine which squares are filled in and which should remain blank.

Each puzzle consists of a grid containing clues in the form of numbers from 0-9. The object is to fill in the squares around each clue so that the number of filled-in squares, including the square with the clue, matches the value of the clue.

For example, out of the nine squares around and including a square containing the number 5... 5 of these will be filled in, and 4 will remain blank. You can mark the blank squares with an X.

Here is a short example of a puzzle!

As you can see in these examples... The squares around the 0 have no boxes filled in... The squares around the 9's have every box filled in.. and so on.

-----------------

Here are the two puzzles you will need to solve. Once done, you will have two images. Answer the questions below the puzzles to get the co-ordinates for the cache.

The first three questions are for the first puzzle, and the second three are for the second one.

A = How many blank pixels are in the straight line between the pixels representing the end of the animals tail, and the one representing the right wing of the rightmost bird?
B = How many letters in the main animals name +1?
C = How many birds are there?

D = How many blank pixels make up the windows?
E = Amount of letters in the name of the object +1?
F = How many pixels are filled in on the furthest right column?
