A day of adventure for
everyone who's interested in geocaching or learning more about
it!

veterans alike can have some fun. Raffle prizes will be awarded,
and all participants will receive raffle
tickets.
Please bring your own GPS
unit or GPS-enabled device, and your friends
too!
Bring your trackables for
discovery and trade. Meet fellow cachers from other
areas.

for more information about the event.
WHEN IS IT: Saturday,
September 24, 2011 at 10 a.m. Those who are new to geocaching can
arrive at 9:30 a.m. for a brief introductory talk about how to use
your GPS equipment for geocaching.
GPS COORDINATES: N 30.01.383
W 95.17.680
Bring your own water and
snacks, and a picnic lunch to enjoy at the park if you want to make
a day of it. We have over two dozen permanent caches in the park,
and who knows? There may be more going live for the event too! Be
assured that there will be plenty of very easy hides for rookies,
lots of typical hides, and maybe even some EXTREME hides for those
who want a real challenge. Scouts and scout groups are welcome, and
this event will help you meet some of the requirements for your
geocaching-related advancements too; there's something for everyone
at this event!
There will be raffle prizes
for all participants! We are seeking donations of geocaching
related items to give out as raffle prizes. If you have something
you would like to donate for the raffle, we will have
representatives at the GZ Talk #9: Big Tin Cache & BBQ
get-together (GC301V1) on August 9, and at the Barking Mad Meet in
the Middle get-together (GC30KTW) on August 16. We'll take a few
minutes to talk up the event too, so come join us if you
can!
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO NOW:
Click on "Log Your Visit" on the cache page, and log a "Will
Attend" log so we have an idea of how many members of the
geocaching community will be attending. After the event, choose the
"Attended" log, and share your
stories!
