Geocache Description:

Relatively easy cache hide (ammo can) accessible via a loop trail (1.5 m) or a former railroad bed (2.8 m round trip).

Volunteers Bridge connects the River Road Preserve to the Erbacher, Golden Harvest, and Orzech Preserves in the Roxbury Land Trust. A map is downloadable at the RLT Website, Map #20 (recommended). Access the cache via an easy 2.8 mile (round trip) bike or stroll along a historic railroad bed on the Shepaug River, or via a 1.5 m scramble on a rocky loop trail from the River Road Preserve. Continue on to enjoy Crow's Nest (GC2X05P), another feature in the preserve. Cache is filled with the usual small tradable items. CONGRATS TO TandemStoker for the FTF: a small, unopened geode.
