Geocache Description:

Our first traditional cache placed along a trailway between Brog Street and Blandford Road in Corfe Mullen.

We spotted this place during a nice walk with my Grandparent’s dog (Sonny) – hence the name. It’s a nice trailway, despite the A31 running next to it. It is a great place for a little walk or indeed cycle (a mountain bike would be needed though) as the path can get a little muddy when wet. We also recommend keeping dogs on a lead as the A31 is very busy and in places there is no fence between path and road.

This cache is placed with the kind permission of the Eastern Area Ranger from the Dorset Countryside Ranger Service.

You are looking for a small click lock box with a log book, pencil and a few smaller goodies. Please make sure that the cache is well hidden again when you have finished.

Parking can be a little bit of a problem very near the trail entrance (see additional waypoint for trailway entrance). I recommend parking along Candy’s Close, near the Lambs Green and walking from there. I strongly suggest you DO NOT try and park in the layby on the A31 and walk/cross the fence.

The trailway can be uneven, muddy and quite narrow, so wheelchair access can be a little tricky, although certainly not impossible.

Good luck everyone.
