The cache is camouflage. Will need to look carefully to see it. Need pen. Please be careful when opening door. It swings, doesn't lift.
This cache is part of a series placed in memory of some treasured Border Collies-hence the name "Border Patrol". The trail is ideal for walking dogs or biking, or if you have an energetic Border, running. We've raised and owned 5 Border Collies and are charmed by their personality and drive. This cache is located off the trail a few feet, but easily accessible from the bike trail.
The cache was repaired and replaced after the major spring floods this year. The cache appears to be something else. Look carefully. Please replace the log container snugly for the next cacher. Watch out for snakes, we saw one today while repairing the cache.
11.17.12 The cache is intact but was retrieved for overnight repair and will be quickly replaced 11.18.12. The door rotted off. Swing the door to the right or left, don't lift. Hopefully it will withstand the weather better with the current composition of the door.
The trail is located along what was once a canal for transportation before other modes of shipping began along the Susquehanna river. The cache trail is dedicated to our border collies in order to get us out and walk them more. They remind us to enjoy life, even though we work hard.
