Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the above coordinates. In fact, these are totally irrelevant apart from the fact that they state the general location.
Use the British Grid coordinate system when finding the location.

To find the true location of this cache, you need the OS Map entitled OL14 - Wye Valley and Forest of Dean (1:25000 scale), a sharp pencil and a long ruler.

First, mark on the map the Trig point TP6576, on Beacon Hill. Then draw a line connecting this to TP4458, at Llansoy. This is the first half of the task.

Now, draw a line from TP2708 (Cwmcarvan Hill) right the way down to the apostrophe in the text Lover's Leap.

Where the lines meet on the big cross you have just drawn is where the cache is! The clue is in the name.

I appreciate that using just a pencil and ruler can be inaccurate at times, so I'll give you the two last digits of the coordinates, which makes the coordinates
SO xxx57 yyy90
Now take the Grid Reference at this point, programme your GPS and go find that cache!

You are looking for a small plastic tub with a purple lid.

There are numerous ways of getting to the cache, but approaching from the North via Trellech Furnace provides a walk with some fascinating history.
