Velkommen til Raudvatnet!
Raudvatnet ligger langs E12 mellom Mo i Rana og grensen til Sverige og har sitt navn fra Raudfjellet.
Rødfargen i fjellet skyldes mineralet hematitt.
Det er rikelig med ørret og røye i vannet, men kan være vanskelig å få på kroken.
Raudvatnet er det mest populære kitestedet vinterstid i Rana, og om sommeren er det ofte vindsurfere på vannet
Om sommeren er Raudvatnet med sine flotte strender også et utmerket alternativ for bading.
Området rundt Raudvatnet er et populært hytteområde med rundt 550 hytter.
Cachen ligger ved en fin rasteplass og like ved ligger et naust som tilhører Statsskog. Nøkkel til dette kan man leie hos Statskog i Mo i Rana slik at man får tilgang til robåt.
Cachen er kun tilgjengelig når det ikke er snø.

Raudvatnet is located along the E12 between Mo i Rana and the border to Sweden and has its name from Raudfjellet.
The red color in the mountain is caused by the mineral hematite.
There are plenty of trout and char in the water, but they could be difficult to catch.
Raudvatnet is, during the winter, the most popular kite site in Rana, and during the summer there are often windsurfers in the water
In summer Raudvatnet with its beautiful beaches is also a great alternative for swimming.
The area around Raudvatnet is a popular cottage area with about 550 cottages.
The cache is located nearby a nice picnic area.
Nearby is also a boathouse that belongs to Statsskog.
You can rent key to the boathouse from Statsskog in Mo i Rana so that you get access to a rowboat.
The cache is only available when there is no snow.
