Katepwa Valley View Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

TheVogonPoet: Hi,

I am archiving this cache as it has been disabled for over a year or appears to have been abandoned and in need of maintenance. If the owner wishes to resurrect it they may do so with a new listing.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Thanks

Geocache Description:

Regular sized camo covered loc'n'loc container near a local landmark.

The Qu'Appelle Valley extends 400 kms. across southern Saskatchewan from the Qu'Appelle dam on Diefenbaker Lake to the confluence with the Assiniboine River in Manitoba. The valley was formed 14,000 years ago when the retreat of the massive continental glaciers produced torents of meltwater. Since that time its history has been that of erosion of the valley walls and deposition of sediments so that now it is only one-half of its earlier depth.

This cache provides a great view of the lake and is close to a "friend of the valley". Original cache contents were "Canada" themed items including: badge, towel, pins, lanyard, flag, key chains, thermometer, dog tag, magnet.
