Geocache Description:


A paddle to only cache.
The water here is tidal, The cache was placed during low tide and I had to get out of my kayak to place it. You WILL have to get out of your boat to find this cache, even in high tide.

I parked at the nearby Cattails restaurant and used the public access to get on the river. The river leads out to the Delaware river. A real easy paddle with a nice wide river.

As I was approaching the Delaware River, I got to watch all the plane landing at Philadelphia International Airport, which is right across the river. Many large barges on the river, Tugboats pushing them into port, quite an awesome sight. I looked to my right when I got to the Delaware River and The city skyline was a beautiful sight. A little to the right of that was Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles. The lockout going on in pro football just ended and when I saw the stadium I thought.....Are You Ready for some Footballllllll!"

After grabbing this cache, continue on out and around the Delaware to the nearby Park and community center, A nice restaurant and a place to pull up your boat/kayak and take a break.
