Benson's Park has been beautifully restored. If you ever visited
the park as a child, on a class trip or a family outing, you will
be surprised by how many original buildings, including the "Old
Woman in the Shoe", still remain here. Come take a trip down Memory
Lane!
And the BEST part is that the park is now CACHE FRIENDLY! There
are currently EIGHT caches hidden in the park that are just waiting
to be found! You might want to arrive early so you can explore all
the wonderfully restored trails here and find the caches.
We will gather at the A-Frame structure in the picnic area near
the pond for a pot luck lunch. The pond is open for fishing, so you
might want to bring a rod, too! Charcoal grills are available and
there are some picnic tables. You might want to bring your own
chair and your favorite pot luck food item to share with your
fellow cachers. There will be some hot dogs and hamburgers
available to cook, and bottled water. But any contributions of food
or drinks will be more than welcome!
In the spirit of the West Coast Block Party, we will be playing
our version of Geocacher Bingo, and since Signal will be a little
busy that day, we will be playing "Pin the Antenna on
Charlotte"...
just kidding, Charlotte... wink, wink...
~~~ If you have a unique cache container that you'd like to
display, bring it along. There will be a prize for the most
creative cache container, donated generously by Groundspeak!

~~~ And speaking of creative cache containers... our very own
Nashuan will be bringing his latest project, a Cryptex cache
container! He will be demonstrating how it works and talking about
its history at NOON! You won't want to miss it, especially if you
are planning to find it in the future!
~~~ There will also be a drawing for a prize from all the
completed GeoBingo sheets, also donated by Groundspeak! ~~~
~~~ And finally... we will be drawing door prizes at 1:45 PM.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we will not be
able to award prizes for finding all the caches in the park, so
relax and find them at your leisure.
And one more thing... Groundspeak announced that a special
Souvenir will be provided for anyone finding a cache or attending
an event on this day. So, all the more reason to stop by!

“Most Creative Cache Container” contest!
1:00 – The winner of the “Most Creative Cache
Container” will be announced by our expert Judges, Nashuan
and GlonchesPride!
1:30 – A GeoBingo winner will be drawn from all the
completed entries!
1:45 – Time for the Door Prize drawings – we
