OCF: Lean Mean Treen(39) Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
A moderate hike with fairly easy terrain most of the way, although the actual area the cache is hidden will require a short steep climb on rocks.
The cache is a small camoed jar with monopoly money for the OCF, as well as some trinkets for post OCF. This is a great cache to combine with several others in the area.
The best place to begin your hike is at the entrance to the lumberyard across the highway from Gorman Brothers (N 049 49.230 W 119 38.951). There is lots of room to park alongside the road, please do not block access to the lumberyard. From the parking location you can either take the top ridge path, or cut through the lumberyard. There are many trails through the area, and for the most part it's quite an easy hike until you get closer to the cache location. Due to the rocks it may be hard to get a good GPS signal, although with the description and clue it won't be a problem to find the cache. You will come across a small cliff with a fairly large fissure running down it...there is a large tree leaning on the cliff at the fissure.
Congrats to Tycoon Otto for FTF!
