The Green Wheel circles the city with primary and national cycle network routes radiating out from the city centre. The outer ring of the Green Wheel is 45 miles long and it is a great way to keep fit or burn some calories while having fun and taking in the fantastic scenery. The Green Wheel will take you to the historic fens and rolling countryside nearby that is unique to Peterborough. You can thread your way through the picturesque scenery, delightful woodlands, tranquil nature reserves and stop off at a country pub for food and refreshments as you wish.
The £11 million project was 50% funded by the National Lottery through the Millennium Commission, matched by contributions from public and private businesses and voluntary organisation.
The Green Wheel series of caches is either on, or close to, the outer circle, the ‘spokes’ and tne National Cycle Network (NCN) routes.
Enjoy!
OK, some time ago I extended my cycle commute into work to 21 miles each way and adding in Bainton put me at the start of an extended loop.
You are looking for a 50ml tube, just sign and replace as found.
Try leaving the car at home and cycle over!
