When we started caching our intention was to do the viking trail around Scartho Top - it has now extended further afield. This is a hotel for trackables with lots of family orientated swappable items. If you take a trackable please try to leave one in it's place. A 1 litre plastic box, not camouflaged but very well hidden so as not to be muggled. Watch out for thorns!!!
This is one of our favourite places for our other hobby which we frequently combine with Geocaching and that is foraging for free food!!! There are loads of brambles here and sloe berries on the blackthorn bushes in the hedgerow. Adults should pick the sloes just after the first frost and use them to make sloe gin which will be ready in time for Christmas (google sloe gin recipe). When you bottle the sloe gin you can use the gin soaked sloes to make sloe liqueur chocolates which you can give to Granny and Grandad as Christmas presents. Although this is a family orientated cache you will need to abandon your pushchairs, bikes etc about 10-15 yards from the cache and I would not recommend that children commence to GZ as the cache is well hidden under a bramble bush so there are lots of thorns and nettles.
