Geocache Description:

Paese/Village: Località Gomba (Val Bognanco)- Luogo: cima Pizzo Straciugo peek - Difficoltà/Difficulty: vedi la descrizione/see description – Tempo/time: 9h ca - Ascesa totale/ Total Ascent: 1500 mt ca

Raggiungere la località Gomba, in Val Bognanco (provincia del Verbano-Cusio-Ossola).

La cache si trova presso la cima del Pizzo Straciugo. E’ possibile partire anche dal paese di Pizzanco ma da Gomba si “risparmiano” un centinaio di metri di salita. Il sentiero fino alla dorsale che sale alla cima (e che divide i pascoli dell’Alpe Campo da quelli dell’Alpe Straciugo) è molto bello, semplice e discretamente segnato. Il rifugio del CAI presso l’alpe Laghetto offre un valido punto di appoggio. Diverso il discorso per la dorsale che porta alla vetta, qui il sentiero è quasi inesistente e nel tratto finale sale ripido su roccette e prati, occorre quindi prestare molta attenzione e muoversi con prudenza, (in caso di pioggia o terreno bagnato eviterei la salita). Tenete anche presente il non indifferente dislivello totale, pari a circa 1500 mt.

La cache consiste in una scatola di alluminio. Contiene: logbook, 3 matite, temperino, foglio di avviso (tutti da non asportare).
ATTENZIONE: per piacere rimettetela a posto accuratamente in posizione VERTICALE!!! Grazie

Reach “Gomba” resort, Val Bognanco (province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola).

The cache is located at the top of Pizzo Straciugo. You can also leave from Pizzanco village but from Gomba you "save" a few hundred meters uphill. The trail up the ridge that rises to the top (and which divides the pastures of “Alpe Campo” from those of the “Alpe Straciugo”) is very beautiful, simple and unassuming. The refuge of the C.A.I. at Alpe Laghetto offers a valuable point of support. Not the same for the ridge to the summit, the trail is almost nonexistent here and in the final stretch rises steeply of rocks and meadows, so be very careful and exercise caution, (in case of rain or wet ground would avoid the climb). Also keep in mind the considerable total climb of approximately 1500 meters.

The cache consists of an aluminum box. Contains: logbook, 3 pencils, sharpener, paper warning (do not remove all).
