Geocache Description:

After not being able to make it to the first or second PAGE events in Port Augusta we thought we would organise a weekend BBQ / picnic event at nearby Mambray Creek.

This is ACME_Caching's first event, so any suggestions/feedback would be great.

This event is a family friendly BBQ / picnic in Mambray Creek which is located in the
Mount Remarkable National Park.

Celebrate the end of the school holidays with a day of laughs, caching, stories, swaps and activities.

Time: 11.00am - 1.00pm

Date: 15th October 2011

Location: Mambray Creek camping ground

Mount Remarkable National Park permit fees: $9 per car, $7 concession

On the day, please bring the whole family along with enough supplies for the day.
A saussage sizzle will be provided for the kids.

GZ for this event is a nice little spot in the heart of Mambray Creek at the foothills of Mount Remarkable. The area has public toilets and a number of BBQ's and picnic tables that are spread thoughout.
All facilities are free once inside the park.

If bringing your own BBQ, please remember that only gas BBQ's are permitted in the park.

A CITO event has also been organised on the same day to help clean up this great area and rubbish bags will be provided.

There are numerous walking trails in the area with a few caches close by.
(If you havent done them already)!!

There will be a few organised activies and prizes on the day.

So pack the kids, pack a lunch and we look forward to seeing you there.
