Geocache Description:

The railway opened in 1865. The main Andover station is still open however it was called Andover Junction. this cache is at the location of the second station in the town it was called Andover Town Station nothing is left of the old station now, apart from some very old looking sheds(not sure if they were anything to do with the station)and the station hotel

The location of the cache is around where the end of the platform would have been.
also at this location before even the railway would have been the andover canal that ran from Andover to Redbridge
More info here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andover_Canal
