We love Caddam Wood so had to come back and place a 3rd cache in
the area alongside our Cars in
Caddam and Woody n Buzz's Logan's Cache. It's really
worthwhile just parking up at one of the laybys at the back of the
woods and strolling round the 3 caches.
This cache is set close to the Caddam Standing Stone. Not as
impressive as the Stannin Stane on top of Kirrie Hill. It is much
smaller and has no marks but none the less is further evidence of
how long Kirriemuir has been a settlement.
The outer edge of the wood near this cache is obviously still
mature trees but centre has been harvested and replanted with mixed
woodland. While the trees in the centre are slowly establishing
themselves they are fenced off to prevent access.
