Geocache Description:

“CITO Day at Put-in-Bay” is an opportunity for geocachers and friends to help clean up parks and other cache-friendly places. Through our volunteer efforts, we help preserve the natural beauty of our outdoor resources. Together, we make an enormous positive impact with just a little joint effort.

Where to meet:
Scheef East Point Nature Preserve Entrance
Put-in-Bay, Ohio

We will be cleaning up trash along the trails and shoreline as well as other debris at an area of the Black Swamp Conservancy properties on South Bass Island in Ottawa County, Ohio. Due to our outstanding contribution at this site last year, we have been asked to assist our friends once again. This group has been a great supporter of geocaching on the islands, and very friendly to the Northwest Ohio Geocachers!!!

What to bring:
Bring work/latex gloves, grabbers and buckets if you have them! 5 gallon buckets work great for carrying litter.

When:
Saturday, September 24, 2011

Please plan to arrive at 1:45 p.m. so we can coordinate our efforts.

We will start our clean-up efforts at 2:00 p.m. once we have received instructions. Our efforts will probably be completed around 3:00 p.m. depending on the number of attendees.

After the CITO, the group may want to organize to seek the other caches found on the east end of the island.
