The Stalin Line was a line of fortifications along the Western
border of the USSR. Works on line began in the 1920`s, by the year
of 1938 the line was almost completely built. The line consisted of
concrete machinegun and cannon bunkers, dug-in shelters for troops
and some auxiliary buildings. The line itself was divided into many
fortified regions (UR), every fortified region was divided into
10-15 batallion`s zone of defence (BRO). The cache is located near
the war historic museum 'Stalin Line'. The museum itself is based
on a half-dozen of bunkers of Minsk fortified region (MiUR). There
is big exibition of planes, armored machines and pioneer equipment
of post-WWII period. You may look over reconstructed machinegun and
cannon bunkers and fire wartime rifles and SMGs(blank cartridges,
of course). Entrance to the museum is paid, but the cache is
located outside the museum territory. In case of any problems, I am
frequently to Minsk, also Belorussian geocacher Andrew_2121 kindly
agreed to take care of the cache.
