Geocache Description:

Since I am fortunate enough to live in this beautiful area of Costa Rica I have explored and found great places to eat and drink, scenic drives and walks, nice hang out places, places of historic interest, beautiful beaches etc. etc.

I am now picking my favorite places and will place caches there so that you can enjoy them as well during your caching in Costa Rica.

This is the first cache in my series of “My Favorite Places”.

Playa Órganos is located across from one of the well known and most visited tourist attractions of Costa Rica: Isla Tortuga. The ample and beautiful beach is separated by a natural river mouth. This takes you directly into a mangrove which is home to a lot of birds, coatis, crabs and even crocodiles. Where the beach ends the national park Curu starts.

Playa Órganos is kind of a “hidden treasure”, still there is almost no tourist development, and the Ticos mostly just come here during X-mas and Easter. So make sure to bring your swim suit and enjoy the calm waves.

The cache is hidden in the brush next to the beach, but it is all public so you don’t have to worry about asking for permission ;o)

It is a small container, containing the log and a little something for the FTF.
BYOP

Notice!!!
The cache dissapeared several times, so my geo-cahcing friend HegeNor helped me find a better location. The new cache is now placed knee-high in a tree, approximately 10m off the original coordinates. It is hidden under some branches and leafes. The container is a small tupperware-box.

My favorite places around where I live:
1. Playa Organos: (visit link)
2. Escalera de mono: (visit link)
3. El Bamboo: (visit link)
4. El cementerio: (visit link)
5. La poza: (visit link)
