Je vous proposes de faire un
petit tour par l'église de Val d'Isère, qui à une petite
particularitée car elle est classée au patrimoine !
Actuellement, d'après les spécialistes, l'église remonte au XIème
siècle pour près la moitié de l'édifice, d'abords par une chapelle
dédiée à Saint-Bernard de Menthon, illustre saint de la région,
décédé peu avant, en 1008.
De cette chapelle une église à été construite à partir de 1531
(d'après les écrits, bien que la date éxacte soit très floue, à
l'époque on attendait pas les permis pour construire).
De la chapelle du XI siècle, il reste donc les voûtes des deux
travées centrales, les deux bras du transept, où sont venus se
loger les deux premiers autels latéraux, et, entre les deux,le
magnifique arc en tuf taillé, à l'entrée du choeur.

official heritage site!
Currently, according to specialists, the church dates back to
XI°century for about half of the building, first by a chapel
dedicated to St. Bernard of Menthon, Saint of the region, who died

This chapel was built as an church in 1531 (from the writings,

built before the authorisations).
From the original chapel of the century, it remains the vaults of
the central two bays, both arms of the transept, which are inside
the first two side altars, and in between, the beautiful arch
carved in tufa, with the entrance to the choir.
