Geocache Description:

Hartsville had a silver company 100 years ago.

This silver CO., chartered March 5, 1907, manufactured and sold coffee and tea sets, bread trays, bowls, candelabra, and cups. J. L. Coker served as president., W. F. Smith as vice president., and C. W. Coker as secretary. & treasurer. By 1908 the company had begun to manufacture classically-designed quadruple plate, some ornamented with cotton blossom motifs. The enterprise, located 3 blocks NE, dissolved Nov. 25, 1909. Erected by Hartsville Centennial Commission-1994
