Fish Creek V2.0 Traditional Cache

The cache terrain rating is a 4 because of the last 50 feet which
is a rocky point with sheer drop offs on both sides. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH
HEIGHTS OR IF THE ROCKS ARE WET.
This is a 1.8 mile round trip hike on a well maintained Forest
Service trail. Elevation at the cache is 2326'. The cache container
is a standard ammo box.
Take Highway 12 and turn onto the Fish Creek road at WP N46 20.001,
W115 20.795. Drive to the end of the road where you will find trail
#224. This is the trail that you will take to the cache.
If you would like to camp, Wilderness Gateway Campground is just up
the Lochsa River from Fish Creek. And while you are in the area,
check out the Lochsa Historic Ranger Station Visitor Center between
Fish Creek and the campground.
