Located a short distance from public parking, down a short flight of stairs, or avoid the stairs and take a longer walk from parking at the far end of the park.
This cache was placed 3 weeks before the Mendon Riverfest near the former Dragon Tears Stained Glass Studio. Mendon, like many other small towns around Michigan has suffered from the shrinking economy. The nearby storefront was a stained glass studio that was a vibrant business for several years in Mendon.
Lois was part owner in the business and while there, they produced the stained glass windows for St. Martin's Church in Vicksburg, and for St. Kathrine's Church in Portage, as well as smaller churches in the area.
A few years ago, the store was closed, and now the building stands vacant, and for sale. A sad reminder of what once was a thriving business.
Enjoy, and if you seek this cache during the Riverfest, it will require a lot of stealth to avoid giving away the location. This cache is near the location of our Seth's Cache, which was archived when the store closed.
